We love ourselves a good show here at The Emporium of Postmodern Activities so it was a no brainer when our friends from Thalia Surf Shop, RAEN Optics, and Brixton invited us to participate in the Wax Ball concert series down in Laguna Beach. For this month’s show, The Marine Room was packed to the gunwales with familiar faces, all wearing their biggest smiles and fired up to hear some music. Tomorrows Tulips’ Alex Knost and Christina Keys did not disappoint as they jammed out a sassy psych rock session and quickly found the crowd’s groove. Then The Abigails took the stage and lead singer, Warren Thomas, pulling cues from Hank Williams Jr. and the dark days of Johnny Cash, swaggered his way through a set of foot stompin’ ditties to finish off the evening.
