How good are road trips

Recently we came across a super talented photographer by the name of Jack Jeffress, he  went on to tell us he had just come back from a surf mission to our beautiful Mid North Coast that is Crescent head. Along the way they met up with our own salty guru, Salsa and managed to catch some pre winter crackers while the water was still warm.

The following are words from the snapshotter himself.

“How good are road trips!  I was lucky to come along on this one, my mate Josh Simpson invited me.  I had met neither Chris nor Jason, but spending a bit of time only brought home the fact that they were damn good gents.  Super welcoming, and so fluid in the soup!  Salsa draws lines like I have never seen before, and he can mix it up, whether he is on a single fin, or boosting he is still up there with the best.  And Chris!  My God, when that guy attacks a lip, the poor wave feels it.  Anyway, I could send thousands of compliments to Chris, and Jason, and Josh – but endless praise gets repetitive.   So picture it, just like every surf trip starts, it was early when we left, around 5:30 I guess.  Chris, Josh and I cruised on up, and met Salsa along the way.  The road was long and destined for that wondrous land of Crescent Head, the place that everyone reading this post has been to.  But we scored up there, brilliant weather, waves and people – what more could you ask for?  We were tenting for the first couple of nights, but then ran into Rangi Ormond, who, (just because he is a Lord), said ‘just come stay with me!’  So for one night, or maybe two, we stayed with him.  Far out, he is a great bloke!  Such energy, and he really shreds!  I guess I should mention the waves, we only surfed Goolawah and the Main Point, but they were firing.  We were checking everywhere but that is just where we ended up every day.  Oh and we ran into Jack Lynch as well!  He surfs so epic, bottom turns on his mid-length are out of this world!  I could blabber on for so long about this trip because it was so much fun, I might finish up though and stop taking up your time, so here comes the end.  Eventually we headed home, just in time for me to drop out of uni!  It was a great trip, thanks for taking me along Jason, Chris and Josh.  Legends!”
